"Water Returning To Water" is an in-depth look at an eternal process in nature; the phenomena of waves, spary, and bubbles. These emerge from the ocean for a brief moment and then return to their source. The oceans are the source of life on our plantet and this massive body of water wraps the planet in a deep embrace. REsponding to ceawsless forces of wind, tices and man-made disturbances, waves and droplets arise and exist independently from the ocean and then merge back into the depths. Thes most fleeting of moments is captured by extreme hish shutter speeds, revealing endless variations of this cycle. The series title refers to a Japance Buddhist ritual called mizuko kuyo. It translates literally to "water returning to water" and is performed to support parents who have lost a child, allowing them to lay the spirit of their child to rest.
