Nighttime Is A Place

Nighttime is a place and, for me, a place linked with a definite period of my life.  As a child, the night was synonymous with the mysteries and wonders of a world that was calling to me to explore.  It was about things that would forever be unknowable but intensely felt. Too timid or smart to explore on my own, as a tween, I hung out with a rough crowd in my suburban neighborhood that spent summer nights ruling this forbidden world.  These photographs are my personal process of recalling and honoring those feelings and reconnecting to the mysteries of the world.
